Poet and presenter for the Verb on Radio 4 Ian McMillan and photographer Andrew Brooks will be sharing more about their exhibition The Songs The Morning Sang at the Portico Library. Then they will take a group each out onto the streets of Manchester to explore similar details and sights such as those that feature in the exhibition, searching for beauty and strangeness in the everyday world.
Both workshop walks will share accessible ideas for documenting the streets where we live through writing and photography. The photography workshop will focus on Smartphone photography so that anyone can get involved.
The walks will be split into 2 groups - one focusing on poetry with Ian and one on photography with Andrew. When you buy your tickets please select which one you want to be in. Everyone will start together in the exhibition at the Portico Library.
