Portico Awards Family
The Portico Library hosts two popular awards to celebrate writing in the North. The Portico Library has a long standing association with Northern writers, editors, publishers, and booksellers. This support has led to the Portico becoming a key part of Manchester's literary scene, most notably through its prizes.
The Portico Prize
The Portico Prize celebrates writing of outstanding quality and honours the strong literary heritage of the North of England.
The Portico Sadie Massey Awards
The Portico Sadie Massey Awards strives to instil a life-long love of reading and writing for all young people.
