Join the Portico Kitchen team for a unique afternoon tea experience inspired by great works of literature from Manchester and the wider world.
For our first session, we look at Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange. Drawing inspiration from the Korova Milk Bar, ‘the old ultra-violence’ and other elements of Burgess’s breathtakingly creative dystopia, this is a unique opportunity to explore one of Manchester’s most famous books in one of its oldest literary institutions.
Ticket price includes a full afternoon tea service including a selection of sandwiches, cakes, tarts, preserves and more and bottomless Brew Tea Co. loose leaf tea. Add a glass of prosecco for £7 or a bottle for £25.
Tickets can be booked individually or in groups. Individual ticket holders may be asked to share a table with other guests.
We can cater for vegetarians as standard. Please enquire about any other dietary requirements before ordering your tickets. We will accommodate where possible but due to the nature of these events, this may not be possible.
We regret that our A Clockwork Orange menu is not suitable for vegans or those with a lactose intolerance.
