Dining In: Family and Young Person Create Workshop

  • The Portico Library 57 Mosley Street Manchester, England, M2 3HY United Kingdom (map)

£2 or pay what you can to save a place. Book here.

Do you have a dented old pan you just can’t throw away, a spatula that you reach for when cooking every meal?

This two-hour workshop is a space to share stories of, admire and creatively respond to your favourite piece of cooking apparatus. It could be too damaged to be used and you want to decorate it for ornamental purposes - give it a new lease of life.

We will talk about the narratives around, recipes you’ve made and affection you have for this familiar inanimate object you keep in your home.

There will be mixed media available for you to write, sketch, collage, paint or photograph a love letter to immortalise your favourite piece of cooking equipment.

Bring a cooking utensil, or cooking apparatus that means something to you.
