Come along to a night on which we celebrate our volunteers at the Portico Library. Be the first to see this new exhibition; play illustration matching games and explore the books from twenty different categories.

5pm: Doors Open

5.30pm: Welcome and Introduction

5.45pm: Screening of our new Adopt a Book film by Jeremiah Quinn, on our Adopt-a-Book process, which is featured in the exhibition. It tells the moving story of how and why people choose their books, the books chosen by young Sadie Massey prize winners, the journey of the books to Downie Allison and Downie in Glasgow and the reaction of people to 'their' books back at the Library.

5.55pm: Thank you and activities commence

Read, feel, and see. We invite everyone to explore these stories and join our volunteers as they share their passion for the books inside these historic walls.
