The Gallery

GalleryThe Gallery is situated under the recently restored dome of the Portico Library which was opened in 1806.

Although the Portico is a private subscription Library the Gallery is open to the public free of charge from Monday to Friday, 9.30 to 4.30pm.

The domeThe Gallery space, which is 1,000 square feet, accommodates up to 10 pairs of double-sided screens measuring approximately 6 ft high by 3ft 10ins wide. These can be arranged in a variety of positions and altogether make up 153 linear feet of hanging space.
There are also four display cases which can be hired on a separate basis.
